LOOK: 'Boys Over Flowers' Actor KIM HYUN JOONG Faces Fine Charges For Drunk Driving
Controversies are not leaving our sweet-tempered flower boy. Just last month, Boys Over Flowers actor Kim Hyun Joong had his license suspended for drunk driving and being caught asleep at a red light.
According to Soompi, his agency KeyEast Entertainment claimed that Kim Hyun Joon was asked to move his car to another spot while he was drinking at a friend's house but unintentionally passed out due to lack of sleep from hectic rehearsals. The label also explained that the K-Pop star had even driven no longer than 1km when the authorities caught him but expressed regret for what happened.
However, Channel A news outlet released a CCTV footage opposing KeyEast's statements showing that the pop star had already driven 3km and was behind the wheel for nearly 15 minutes at an intersection when the police woke him up.

KeyEast later reiterated the discrepancy, saying, "We were not attempting to justify a wrongdoing. We explained what we confirmed as the truth about what happened during the situation at the time. [Kim Hyung Joong] acknowledges his mistake of driving under the influence and is reflecting, just like how it was revealed the first time around."
He was recently fined 2 million won (approximately $1774) as a result of his wrongful act, Soompi reported. The actor's agency followed up saying, "We haven't received anything from the court yet and believe that the letter is still in the process of being delivered. However, we plan to accept whatever the court has ordered and pay our dues once we received it."
