We Talked To The Next Big Thing: JOHNNY ORLANDO
MYX got the opportunity to talk to fast-rising Canadian pop star Johnny Orlando via phone!
Johnny started out doing vlogs with his sister Lauren on YouTube where he gained a lot of fans. With a combined total of over 16 million followers on social media, he is one of Canada's most promising singers. The 15-year old was even nominated at the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in 2017 and 2018.
During our short interview, the singer/YouTube star told MYX that his passion for music and entertaining people began early in life. "I started my love for music at a young age. I've been singing since I was 8 and got into doing YouTube videos with my sister."
He definitely considers this as an advantage in his chosen field. "I think what sets me apart from others is that I started really young... I have the experience."
According to Johnny, his music is mainly influenced by fellow Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber and we can totally see that.
Currently signed with Universal Music Canada, Johnny just finished the first leg of his European tour, selling out shows in London, Dublin, Cologne, and Vienna.
