Mark Hamill is set to return to Star Wars: Episode IX to reprise his role as Luke Skywalker.

Fresh off the news that he's returning to the successful film franchise, the actor posted a touching and tearjerking tribute to his late co-star Carrie Fisher on Twitter.

The two actors, along with Harrison Ford, kicked off the Star Wars saga in 1977 with Episode IV - A New Hope.

Fisher's untimely death in December 2016 left a lasting void in the hearts of Star Wars fans. However, she's still set to appear in Episode IX - which hits theaters this 2019 - via previously unreleased footage.
