RICHARD MARX's "Right Here Waiting" Joke Spawns Hilarious Thread
Richard Marx just scored a brand new “hit” on Twitter with a hilariously executed joke!
It's a satirical jab at US president Donald Trump who claimed he misspoke during a news conference with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Finland. Asked whether he believes Putin's denial of his country's interference during the 2016 US elections (which contradicts American intelligence reports), Trump said “I don’t see any reason why it would be [Russia]”. He later clarified that he meant to say "wouldn't".
From there, the 54-year old singer-songwriter made the Twitterverse explode by writing “I misspoke. I meant to say I “wouldn’t” be right here waiting for you.” in reference to his 1989 hit "Right Here Waiting".
