AUTOTELIC Shares Story Behind New Song "Takipsilim"
We caught up with Autotelic to talk about their new single “Takipsilim” which has almost 300,000 streams on Spotify as of this writing. If you're one of those fans listening to the song on repeat, you'd be interested to know these cool facts.
Vocalist Josh Villena admitted that this song was made straightaway. “Actually, ‘yung Takipsilim very spontaneous ‘yung song. Wala s’ya sa plano ko, marami na akong songs in mind. Ewan ko, may mga times na biglang tatamaan ka na lang then one night, I was playing around the guitar, I played around with three chords lang, tapos noong nasulat ko ‘yung song, ni-record ko s’ya tapos pinarinig ko sa mga kabanda ko while in the studio,” he shared during our MYXclusive interview.
After jamming for a couple of hours, they were able to complete it with the help of Itchyworms drummer Jazz Nicolas.
Josh describes the song as "upbeat, yet steady and with restraint". As its songwriter, he opened up that this track is mainly about secrets. "It’s more about ‘yung sa gabi, kasi parang minsan gusto mo mag-last ‘yung gabi na ‘yun, e. Mayroon s’yang mga pangakong ibibigay sa’yo. Pero biglang before you know it, umaga na,” he explained.
Autotelic is planning to release an official music video for “Takisiplim” which will showcase their serious side this time. They're also releasing a brand new EP later this year. Find out more in the MYXclusive video below!
