A "prodigy" is what ABS-CBN Star Music content head Jonathan Manalo calls Jayda—the youngest producer he has ever worked with. And yes, we agree that this beautiful young lady has all the makings of a global pop star!

Being born into the spotlight as the daughter of OPM icons Dingdong Avanzado and Jessa Zaragoza, Jayda's decision to join the music industry was inevitable albeit her rise to fame didn't happen overnight.

The 15-year-old started out posting covers in her Youtube page Just Jayda. And now, she's coming out with an EP titled In My Room this July. The five-track EP features all-original English songs that were written and co-produced by Jayda herself.

Aside from her debut single "Text", we also heard her upcoming single "Breathless" plus the tracks "Coffee", "You'll Be Mine", and "Happy For You" during an exclusive listening session which coincided with her birthday.

"I write anywhere as long as I feel inspired," she told MYX. "Once the inspiration hits you, it’s important to get your ideas down. Sometimes I’ll use my voice notes app and I’ll record melodies into it. Or if I think of lyrics, I put them down in my notes on my phone." Jayda confessed that the fastest she's ever written a song was within 30 minutes. THIRTY. MINUTES. GUYS. WHOA!

2018 is looking to be a busy year for the talented performer. Aside from preparations for the forthcoming release of In My Room, she's set to write a song for VJ Inigo. She has also become one of the mainstays in the Sunday variety show ASAP and was recently announced as the opening act to Niall Horan's Flicker Tour in Manila.
