Mexican Actor Apologizes Following Foul Comments Against BTS
Karen Jane Ng
Earlier this week, BTS' appearance on Billboard Music Awards 2018 was featured on a Mexican TV show, Farandula 40, but fans aren't at all happy about it following the hosts' foul comments against the K-Pop group.
In an uploaded clip from the episode, one of the male anchors began by calling the idols' looks frightening. "It does not matter if they wear Gucci collection. It does not suit their skinny body and bad hairstyles. It does not look like they're on the BBMAs stage, it seems that they were dressed to go to the cabaret." The other, identified as Horacio Villalobos, later can be heard saying, "They look like an LGBT group lost at a beach" and also asked if "they are sure they're all men."
Fans also demanded an apology from the hosts following their criticisms deemed 'racist' and 'homophobic'.
