Every 2nd of May, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter celebrates the anniversary of the historical "Battle of Hogwarts" against the the main antagonist of the series, Lord Voldemort. And its best-selling author JK Rowling took advantage of the commemoration, again, to apologize for one of the books' all-time undeserving character deaths.

"This year, I apologise for killing someone who didn't die during the #BattleofHogwarts, but who laid down his life to save the people who'd win it. I refer, of course, to Dobby the house elf," JK tweeted. Dobby's death was featured on the earlier part of the Deathly Hallows novel. At least, JK finally realized Dobby meant no harm and was just there to save his master Harry and friends.

Last year, JK said sorry for killing the villanous but beloved Professor Severus Snape.
