Is love enough for you to hold on? Or is love enough for you to let go?

These were the questions Shaina Magdayao left the audience at the media conference of the upcoming theatrical release of Single/Single: Love Is Not Enough. Also with the Kapamilya actress are the original cast members Matteo Guidicelli, JC Santos, Anna Luna, and Bryan Sy

Speaking to MYX, Shaina revealed that the movie came as a surprise. “Even to have a second season was not part of the plan,” she confessed. “Four years after, I did not expect na magkakaroon ng Single/Single: Love Is Not Enough.”

She added, “I’m honoured to be able to work on a story na not just would entertain our viewers, but it would also teach them a lesson.”

The movie picks up from where the hit mini-series of the same name left off in its second season. Joee (Shaina) and Joey’s (Matteo) love is put to the test with an unexpected baby on the way. How will Joey come to terms with being a foster parent to Joee's child with her ex-boyfriend? Will the new challenges strengthen or break apart the couple's relationship?

If you’ve ever reached a point in your life where you have to answer Shaina’s questions, then this movie is for you. If not, then maybe it could serve as a reminder that love isn’t everything. As Matteo said, “a balance of love and reality is very important.”

Single/Single: Love Is Not Enough will hit theatres on May 2.
