THE WEEKND Crushes Hearts With Emotional Performance Of "Call Out My Name" At Coachella
This time last year, The Weeknd and Selena Gomez packed on the PDA at Coachella. But in the wake of the pair's breakup months later, the Canadian singer was left alone to hit the stage at this year's festival and sing tracks off his six-song EP My Dear Melancholy.
Fans pointed out that the R&B artist nearly broke down in tears during his performance of "Call Out My Name" and "Privilege"—both tracks rumored to be about his past relationship with Sel.
In "Call Out My Name", The Weeknd sings, "We found each other / I helped you out of a broken place / You gave me comfort / But falling for you was my mistake."
He continues, "I put you on top, I put you on top / I claimed you so proud and openly / And when times were rough, when times were rough / I made sure I held you close to me."
Meanwhile, a fan claimed that his other ex-girlfriend Bella Hadid was spotted among the audience during his set.
I knew it was gonna be a good night when I see Rihanna to my left and look in front of me and see Kourtney Kardashian and Bella Hadid all while watching The Weeknd perform— Andrew (@andrewxlo) April 14, 2018
