LOOK: LINKIN PARK Pays Tribute To CHESTER BENNINGTON On His Birthday!
Last July 20, a devastating news shook the world when Linkin Park’s lead singer Chester Bennington died in an apparent suicide. This 20th of March would have been Chester’s 42nd birthday and the remaining band members took to social media to give tribute to their singer.
On Instagram, Mike Shinoda led the tribute by posting a photo of their iconic frontman with a caption, “Happy birthday buddy”.
The official Twitter account of Linkin Park also posted a tribute which reads “Wishing a happy birthday to our brother @ChesterBe today. In his honor, we are launching a fundraiser on our Facebook page via @musicforrelief’s ONE MORE LIGHT FUND, benefiting #320ChangesDirection.”

Meanwhile, Chester’s wife Talinda Bennington also posted her own birthday greeting to her late husband. “From the day we met, you have changed me for the better. Today, I honor you. RIP BOO., she tweeted.”

Chester Bennington is survived by his wife and six children. Linkin Park’s latest live album One More Light Live was also dedicated to him after his death.
