13 Actors We Miss Seeing In K-Dramas!
Karen Jane Ng
Our obsession with Korean dramas (and actors who left us dying inside of kilig) isn't going away. In fact, it has grown so much that we came up with this list of actors we want to see in a new series - from the ones who started it all to some of today's most talked about stars. We miss you, oppas!
SO JI SUB
Popular for his roles in Memories in Bali, Master's Sun and Oh My Venus, he starred in the 2017 blockbuster film The Battleship Island. Good news for those who miss the different feels he gives on the small screen: he's been cast in the upcoming drama Terius Behind Me!
JU JI HOON
Still remember our crown prince Gian? Ju Ji Hoon is one of our original oppas who stole our hearts through the 2006 production Princess Hours. His last TV project was 2015's Mask but wait a little longer 'cause he's coming back in the Netflix zombie series Kingdom!
It's been forever since we saw the adorable Jae Hee act on TV. Known for playing leads in Sassy Girl Chun-Hyang and One Mom and Three Dads, we bet it's high time for him to slide back around and show us again what "not letting go" looks like.
JO IN SUNG
Just like Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook, this man's living proof of the existence of the 'fountain of youth'. From starring in Memories in Bali, That Winter The Wind Blows and It's Okay, That's Love, we def need more of this swoon-worthy gentleman.
SONG IL GOOK
He was King Jumong before becoming the father of Korea's fave triplets Daehan, Minguk and Manse. Having appeared with his kids in the variety show The Return of Superman, we want to see the Jang Yeong-Sil star in a Song family drama.
KIM HYUN JOONG
Who could forget the butterflies we got everytime Yoon Ji Hoo appeared on Boys Over Flowers? The SS501 leader's final project before enlisting was 2014's Inspiring Generation. Now that he's back, maybe he can clue us in on his next acting plans ASAP.
Speaking of BOF, you have to admit that it was Kim Bum who you were rooting for instead. Not for Jandi of course, but for yourself. The actor later landed supporting roles in That Winter The Wind Blows and Mrs. Cop 2. He's currently shooting for the third Detective K movie alongside The Heirs' Kim Ji Won.
KIM JAE WON
This one's impossible to slip from our memories especially following his tear-jerking 2005 drama Wonderful Life (cue Toni Gonzaga's "We Belong"). After starring in another fam-oriented series Father, I'll Take Care Of You in 2016, Jae Won is enjoying family life offscreen with his childhood-friend-turned-wife and their son Heaven.
JANG GEUN SUK
No one can pull off grumpy-yet-funny act and still be as beautiful as ever than Asia Prince Geun Suk. This pretty boy of South Korea who played the lead in He's Beautiful, Love Rain, Pretty Man and The Royal Gambler has this unimaginable charisma that can make us gaga over him with one look. Plus the vocals! Guess we'll be seeing him again this time playing a prosecutor in Switch: Change The World!
Full House, A Love To Kill, Come Back Mister, My Lovely Girl. We've all been there for King of K-Pop Rain! From a careless guy to a man who fights for what he wants, this superstar knows the way to our cores all to well. Now husband to Kim Tae Hee and a daddy to a baby girl, Rainism is set to return in the action drama Sketch.
KIM WOO BIN
We've always had a soft spot for bad boys - those #maginoongbastos that can coolly break in our hearts without the need for cheesy clichés. And that simply explains why we fell for Woo Bin in 2013's The Heirs where he played Lee Min Ho's BFF/rival. He was last seen in 2016's Uncontrollably Fond opposite Bae Suzy before being diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. We can't wait to see you again, oppa, but your health comes first. Get well soon!
PARK BO GUM
Representing the ideal man of this generation, "the one" we all would want to have, Bogummy! Is there a need for us to explain ourselves? The last time we witnessed the Bo Gum magic was in 2016's Love In The Moonlight gaining him the title of Nation's Crown Prince. Don't you think it's time for a royal comeback?
SONG JOONG KI
Let's be honest. There's still nothing like the feelings that Big Boss gave us during his successful 2016 melodrama Descendants of the Sun! He just set the standard especially after marrying Song Hye Kyo and fulfilling every K-drama shippers' fantasy. After starring in The Battleship Island, he just received an offer for the historical drama Asdal.
