Riverdale star Lili Reinhart called out the local circulation of international women's magazine Cosmopolitan after finding out that her and co-star Camila Mendes' cover photos for its February issue were altered.
Celebrating International Women's Day, Lili Reinhart took to her Instagram stories to voice out her concern after Cosmopolitan Philippines "photoshopped" their waistlines to make them look slimmer.
“Camila and I have worked incredibly hard to feel confident and comfortable in the bodies that we have,” Lili wrote.
“To see our bodies become so distorted in an editing process is a perfect example of the obstacles we have yet to overcome,” she added, sharing how such action defeats the purpose of celebrating the beauty of each and every woman.
“I’m calling out Cosmopolitan Philippines. It’s sad that you felt our bodies needed to be slimmed down. But Camila and I are f****** beautiful. As is. And you can’t ‘fix’ us,” the 21-year-old star continued.
Lili Reinhart currently stars as Betty Cooper in the neo-noir Archie Comic-based series Riverdale.
