Acel Van Ommen spoke about her recent comments about Moonstar88's posts for their 19th anniversary celebration. The former vocalist of the band issued a public apology today for "expressing my outrage at a public post".

In her post, Acel said that she felt the need to voice out her opinion after getting tagged in one of recent posts promoting the anniversary of Moonstar88.

"People tagged me and brought it to my attention as if may kinalaman ako sa post na iyon. Yet, I hurt the people that I love in the process and so I apologize," she said.

"My name was tagged and I reacted fast in social media and said sana na "disband" nlang.. And for that I am sorry... but yeah mag kaiba ang pinaglalaban natin. You are right, I should have probably PM'd muna to call it out," Acel also explained.

Acel also honored her former bandmates in her apology.

"You are all amazing musicians, but more than that, you were my closest friends. You know my secrets, mga kabaliwan ko, my lowest moments nung panahon na iyon, and you were all there for me. I will treasure those memories forever. Thank you na kahit ako lang ang babae sa grupo, you all treated me with respect and honor. I know that you all respect and honor your wives/partners and am so proud of how you raise your beautiful families," addressing Paolo, Popo, and Herbert who are all founding members of Moonstar88.

Ace Van Ommen celebrated her 20th year in the industry last 2015 with a major concert.
