MYXclusive: American Rapper LUPE FIASCO Wants To Collaborate With Filipino Artists!

Posted at February 23, 2018

The number one music channel in the Philippines caught up with American rapper Lupe Fiasco for a MYXclusive phone interview!

Having performed for his Filipino fans in the past, we asked Lupe if he is down to collaborate with local artists - particularly Pinoy rappers - in the future.

"It's interesting 'cause when we did a show in the Philippines - this was years ago in a mall. I was telling people there that a lot of my big hits - most of my hits were produced by a Filipino. He lives in Chicago but his family is in the Philippines. Even Matthew Santos who sang the chorus of my big hook "Superstar" - he is Filipino," he said, sharing that he's been able to work with Filipinos in the past.

"Well yeah, in terms of any local artists there in the Philippines - definitely," he said.

Apart from the release of his latest album Drogas Light, Lupe Fiasco has a new documentary series called Beat n Path where he fuses mixed martial arts with China's urban and hip-hop music.

Catch Beat n Path on KIX channel via Sky Cable HD: Ch. 242; SD: Ch. 63. Or you can also visit To subscribe, call 631-0000.
