MGMT’s first album in five years called Little Dark Age is already out! But a couple of days before its release, the indie electronica outfit unveiled a fun jam called “Me And Michael” which is about how even the tightest bonds can eventually break. The clever music video concept easily caught everyone's attention especially their Filipino fans since the elaborate stunt involves local band True Faith!

In the Joey Frank and Randy Lee Maitland-directed visual, the "Kids" hitmakers appear to "rip off" a song from the veteran OPM group. They're seen watching a YouTube video of True Faith performing a song called “Ako at si Michael” which they decide to copy. MGMT's version becomes a hit but they eventually get caught for their act of plagiarism. The band sends an apology via a plastic bottle which reaches True Faith lead singer Medwin Marfil in the Philippines.

Adding authenticity to the song-stealing gimmick, True Faith actually recorded their own version of "Ako at si Michael" which was uploaded on the Star Music YouTube channel days before MGMT released "Me and Michael"!
