CNBLUE's Jung Yonghwa just had an emotional final performance over the weekend. The idol broke down crying during the last leg of his 2018 Jung Yong Hwa Live [Room 622] in Hong Kong while he sings "Because I Miss You". Fans believe it was brought by his nearing military enlistment in March and that means he'll have to bid Boices a temporary goodbye.
It's been a tough start of the year for the singer following revelations that he received special treatment to enter graduate school. Yonghwa later apologized on his Instagram account. The post reads, “First and foremost, I sincerely bow my head in apology. Whatever’s the reason, whatever’s the truth, I know it’s all my fault and I am deeply reflecting. Whatever you say about me, I will accept it all. To my family, members, and fans who have always believed in me, I’m very ashamed and genuinely sorry for disappointing you all.
“Whatever I say, whatever I post, I understand it may be difficult for it to get through to you, but I would like to apologize once again. I’m sorry for taking up your precious time with this letter.”
The K-Pop member was earlier chosen as this year's Pyeongchang Winter Olympics ambassador. But due to his recent controversy, the event's committee decided to withdraw him from the opening ceremonies and any other promotional activities (via allkpop).
Yonghwa will officially begin military service on March 5.
