Jensen and the Flips has been dropped from an upcoming event after guitarist Samuel Valenia confirmed that he was the subject of a sexual harassment allegation which surfaced online.
Various netizens came forward with their personal experiences regarding the alleged predatory behavior of some members of local indie bands in response to a Twitter thread started by user @_tapsilog.

Following the claim of a woman who wished to remain anonymous that a certain "Sammy" forced himself on her in a cab, Valenia tweeted "Yup. Ako to." and apologized for his actions.

Meanwhile, the organizers of The Rest Is Noise year-end gig explained their decision to withdraw their invitation to Jensen and the Flips. According to their official statement: "We do not and will not condone, tolerate, or enable any vile or reprehensible behavior that exploits or abuses women."
