Meet Virgina "Gini" Santos, the first female Supervising Animator of Pixar who happens to be Pinoy! As the first woman to hold the prestigious position, she leads a game-changing team of storytellers that help make the world a better place with their creations.
Gini acquired her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Santo Tomas where she majored in Advertising Arts. She eventually earned a Master of Fine Arts in Computer Arts at the School of Visual Arts in New York City.
She worked on several critically-acclaimed films such as Toy's Story 2, A Bug's Life, Monsters Inc., Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and Up. And now, she takes pride in being part of the newest Pixar movie Coco.
VJ Sunny sat down with Gini who shared about her contribution to the film, the challenges she faced along the way with her team, and yes, her most favorite scene from Coco which opens in cinemas on November 22.
