MYXclusive: Pinoy Rock Icons Unite In "Full Blast" Concert!
Cuneta Astrodome was the grand venue of an epic gathering of OPM rock icons last October 20! Presented by Rockford Productions, the Full Blast Pinoy Super Bands concert brought a huge dose of nostalgia to all Pinoy Rock lovers who missed seeing these legends perform their greatest hits!
Coming from different eras of Pinoy Rock, the stellar lineup didn't disappoint their fans with an amazing showcase of iconic anthems! Starting the night was Juan Dela Cruz Band who treated everyone to “Balong Malalim”, “No Touch”, and “Beep Beep”. It was followed by Razorback's set which was nothing short of spectacular as well. People jumped when they played “Payaso”.
Punk rock legends Wuds played their hits like “Gera”, “At Nakalimutan ang Diyos”, and “Inosente Lang Ang Nagtataka”.
To those who embraced the rock and roll culture during the late 90s and early 2000s, Queso delivered a staggeringly loud set which included “Tiamat”, “Mottaka”, and “Insekta”. Ian Tayao even threw pairs of shoes to the crowd before concluding the first part of the concert.
The second part of Full Blast Pinoy Super Bands kicked off with the timeless hits of Asin’s Lolita Carbon followed by 70s rock band Maria Cafra who gave impressive guitar solos before burning an electric guitar onstage.
The Youth led by Dodong Cruz hyped everyone with their big hits like “Mukha Ng Pera” and “Multong Bakla”. Up next was Basti Artadi who proved that he's still at the top of his game.
Dong Abay, along with his current band D.A.M.O (Dong Abay Music Organization), was the last performer of the night. The Yano vocalist sang hits like “Senti”, “Esem”, and “Perpekto”. He also got the chance to promote his newly released album Humanidad.
After his set, there was a hint that another Full Blast Pinoy Super Bands concert featuring a different set of OPM legends is in the works. We're definitely looking forward to another intense musical event like this! Check out more photos HERE!
