MYXclusive: CHRISTIAN BAUTISTA Reinvents Himself In New Album "Kapit"!
When Christian Bautista said that he believes in the “adapt or perish” and “innovate or die” mentality, he really did mean it.
He showed everyone just that after his amazing performance last September 29 at the Music Museum. His Kapit album release became more than just a simple launch as it also doubled as a concert treat for treat his long-time fans.
Supporters of Asia’s Romantic Balladeer came all the way from Indonesia just to see him perform again live.
He revisited some of his classic hits but this time, putting a little twist in them. Fans loved his opener - a faster upbeat version of “I’m Already King”. He also did a mashup of his hit “Invincible” and “Titanium” while “Colour Everywhere” was mixed with a little touch of Black Eyed Peas’ “I’ve Got A Feeling”.
Music videos of his duets with Julie Anne San Jose, Sarah Geronimo, Morissette, and Jessica Sanchez flashed on-screen while he performed the songs live - simulating a duet with the female singers.
As promised, The Company joined Christian in this very special night, singing “Afraid For Love To Fade”, popularized by Jose Mari Chan. He sang the hit “Beautiful Girl” to thank all of the women who helped him to finally make this album happen!
Fans were delighted with his performances of “Ngiti”, “Everything You Do” and of course, “The Way You Look At Me”.
He also treated those in attendance with a guest appearance of Sam Concepcion - who sang his new song “Phone Down”. The two singers entertained the crowd even more with their performance of the online craze, "Baby Shark Dance".
After singing his favorite Eraserheads hit “Ang Huling El Bimbo”, the 35-year old singer sang his newest singles “Huling Harana” and “Kapit”.
To close the show, Christian paid homage to iconic male OPM singers such as Rico J Puno, Haji Alejandro, Ogie Alcasid, Martin Nievera by by singing a medley of their timeless hits.
Indeed, there was color everywhere last night. And for his fans, the event was even more colorful as they witnessed Christian Bautista reinvent himself as an artist!
