Red Hot Chili Peppers is mourning the loss of their former guitarist Jack Sherman.
Jack, who played on the iconic rock band’s self-titled debut album, passed away at 64. The cause of death was not yet disclosed as of this writing.
“We of the RHCP family would like to wish Jack Sherman smooth sailing into the worlds beyond, for he has passed. Jack played on our debut album as well as our first tour of the USA,” the band wrote on their tribute post.
"He was a unique dude and we thank him for all times good, bad and in between," the band said about Jack who replaced founding member Hillel Slovak in December 1983. The latter returned to the band in 1985.
