Jason Momoa will be leaving Atlantis for a while to embark on a new icy adventure. He's set to star in the live-action adaptation of Frosty the Snowman as the voice of the 'happy jolly soul'.
Deadline reports that Warner Bros. has started developing the project which will be produced by Jon Berg and Greg Silverman of Stampede Ventures. The Aquaman star will lend his voice to the titular character in CGI form.
Jason's impressive resume in the fantasy/superhero genre helped him score the role. According to Berg: "From his role as a fearsome count in a land of ice and fire to the oceanic success we all had with Aquaman, it felt only right to realize Jason this time out of snow." Silverman, on the other hand says: "We know Jason’s as a true human being filled with love, compassion and a deep connection to ohana — all of which is the living spirit of Xmas and Frosty."
Other details about the film are still being kept under wraps but it wouldn't be too farfetched to assume that it will be released during the holiday season.
