Fashion photographer turned recording artist Kurei describes her sound as "soft R&B" and when you listen to her previous music releases, you will immediately understand why. Her latest single "Sunset" is a continuation of that chill vibe she's going for.
In a MYXclusive interview, Kurei said that the track is about love that blossomed during the summer, adding how the lovers are "torn" as to whether they should pursue their romance or not. As for the music video, Kurei shares how she plans to do a montage of her past clips from beach vacations and road trips which, we believe, will match the song's whole vibe.
And if you immediately fell under a spell while listening to "Sunset," we have some good news for you. Apparently, the up-and-coming artist has been dedicating some time for her yet-untitled, upcoming EP due out sometime this year.
According to Kurei, she has already finished recording the album, and it is currently on the mixing stage. Moreover, she revealed that the EP will carry four to five English tracks including the previously released "Sunset".
While we wait for Kurei to release her new EP, we can also join her in thinking into existence a collab with her idols Fern. and Jess Connelly. Watch our entire MYXclusive interview below.
