In the past weeks, people poked fun at actress Kim Chiu over her incoherent statement during the previous Laban Kapamilya livestream. She has gone on to make an entire song out of the viral meme and teamed up with online sensation DJ Loonyo for the official dance steps. But now, the 30-year-old is using the "Bawal Lumabas" craze for a good cause.
Kim launched merchandise inspired by "Bawal Lumabas" to provide food for families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and eventually support the Shop and Share initiative by fellow Kapamilya stars Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo, and Anne Curtis which aims to purchase COVID-19 test kits.
"Ang #BawalLumabasMerch [ay] hindi para pagkakitaan ko kundi para sa mga kababayan natin na #BawalLumabas pa rin. Proceeds of this limited edition merch will be donated for charity (food packages) and hopefully sana makapag donate din tayo sa project ni [Angel Locsin] na mass testing project," she said in an Instagram post. "Sana masabi na natin na one day pwede na tayong lumabas na LIGTAS."
The trending video for "Bawal Lumabas (The Classroom Song)" is now airing on MYX.
