Things are looking more promising than ever for our very own Kai Sotto who decided to jump straight to the G League, NBA's developmental territory. He has now become the first international prospect to sign a deal in the said basketball program.
According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the 7'2 hardcourt prospect - who just turned 18 today - has opted to skip college and will be joining forces with another promising talent, Fil-Am Jal Green in the new G League team in Southern California. Also joining them are Isaiah Todd and Daishen Nix from the 2020 class.
Kai, who previously played for Ateneo Blue Eaglets and the national youth team, moved to the United States in April 2019 and entered The Skill Academy in Atlanta.
The G League is the National Basketball Association's official minor league basketball organization. We're rooting for you, Kai!
