With the rate of how things are going, it appears that we won't be able to go out and hang with our friends anytime soon. While that's true, it doesn't mean that we can't do fun activities with them with the help of technology. Here, we've rounded up some of our all-time favorite classic games that you can play with the rest of the gang while observing social distancing.

1. UNO!

available in App Store and Play Store

Who doesn't love UNO? This card game has been a source of many fun and not-so-fun (we see you, +4 card) moments with our friends. You can now jump into a game with all of your friends without leaving the house by downloading the app. You can even opt to the 2v2 mode and play as a team.

2. Monopoly

available in App Store and Play Store

Fair warning, this app isn't free. However, if you ask us, it's going to be worth it. You can now experience this board game in a completely new way because now, you can bankrupt your friends using nothing but your smartphone. There is also a quick mode if you don't want to spend time playing the regular game.

3. Tic Tac Toe

available in App Store as "Tic Tac Toe Free Glow" and Play Store as "Tic Tac Toe Glow"

Gone are the days when we have to use actual pen and paper for a game of tic tac toe. Now, you can easily align your Xs and Os while blocking your opponents while remaining in quarantine. Aside from this, we're also sure that you will enjoy the fun graphics of the app.

4. Scrabble

available as "Scrabble GO" in App Store and Play Store

It's time to put your vocabulary on a test and go on a virtual game of scrabble with your pals. This game comes with the original board, tiles, and Scrabble word dictionary which means that you will get a legit experience. There are also four variations of fast-past competitive game modes for you to explore.

5. Mario Kart

available in App Store Play Store as "Mario Kart Tour"

This mobile app version of Mario Kart is a decent alternative if you want to play remotely, and you don't have other devices available. Just remember that before you can connect to other players, you would need to play a few games on your own first. After finishing the first level, you will have the option to organize a match.

Now that actually meeting people is off the table for an unforeseeable time, we just really need to make the effort to stay connected to the people we care about to the best that we can. These games may not be the same without really seeing your opponents, but we can still it's the perfect way to remain in touch while staying safe.
