However, Disney has opted to delay the release of Mulan - which was originally scheduled to open in the Philippines on March 25 and worldwide on March 27 - amid the continuing rise in cases related to the coronavirus disease or COVID-19. Its director Niki Caro said: "We are so excited to share this film with the world, but given the current ever-shifting circumstances we are all experiencing, unfortunately, we have to postpone the worldwide release of Mulan for now."
