The South Korean black comedy/thriller Parasite became a global sensation and it doesn't come as a surprise anymore that Hollywood is trying to capitalize on the phenomenon.
Last month, we reported that Avengers star Mark Ruffalo was being eyed to star in a TV adaptation of the critically-acclaimed Bong Joon-Ho film.
Now, Hulk himself has confirmed his involvement in the TV series being developed by HBO. During an appearance at C2E2 in Chicago, the American actor ended the rumor mill and said he's starring in the project. In fact, he has met with the original film's director who is also developing the series. "We’ve met. I love him [Bong Joon-ho], I love that movie"
He added: "I might be playing the father in Parasite on a television show. I would love to do it. We’re sort of waiting on the script and all that, but yeah, that’s pretty much true and in the works." Other details about the series are still being kept under wraps.
Parasite took home Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Foreign Language Film at the 92nd Academy Awards.
