iWant isn't just about dramas, comedies and kilig seryes, they also produce quality and informative documentaries.
And to remember the lives lost during the Holocaust, the ABS-CBN streaming service premiered The Last Manilaners, a four-part documentary series which tells an in-depth story of Jewish refugees who refer to themselves as "Manilaners".
Originally intended to be a supporting material for the historical Manuel L. Quezon biopic Quezon's Game, the Nico Hernandez-directed docuseries delves into the lives of Margot, Lotte and Max, four Jewish refugees who found paradise in the Philippines during the dark times of the Nazi regime and the second World War.
According to its creators, the true message of the docu is the importance of compassion in the midst of adversity and that's what Max, Margot and Lotte found in the arms of the country they once called home.
