Jihyo is the next member of Twice who penned an apology letter to fans.
The K-pop idol took the opportunity to explain her recent response on Vlive chat when she was asked why she went missing during the 2019 Mnet Asian Music Awards which others deemed unpleasant.

In the letter, Jihyo admitted to having a hard time, citing her rumored involvement in a scandal last March and dating news with Kang Daniel in August as the reasons: "Thinking that ONCE may have been hurt and disappointed yesterday from the V App chat, I’m sorry."
"The reason I cried at the airport was also because all the people taking photos/filming and yelling made me feel a lot of fear, and I was so scared about what those people thought of me and how they saw me," she admitted.
The singer continued, "In August, my private life became known, and after that, there were a lot of false rumors as well. Because of that, my anxiety, feelings of depression, fear, and all kinds of negative emotions became so overwhelming that being in front of people, saying just one thing, or performing was scary and hard."
Despite that, Jihyo still chose to perform on stage: "I didn’t want people to worry, so I returned at a different time than the rest of the TWICE members." Read the full letter here:
