Paramore has been inactive for over a year, with their last show happening in September 2018. We haven't heard much from the "That's What You Get" rockers since but they did tease fans last June with a muted video. Nothing really came out of it though.
Now, the Hayley Williams-fronted band is reflecting on their time together and the year they've had. Taking to their socials, the band posted a heartfelt year-end recap. "happy holidays and stuff from the kids who stuck together. from post-school carpools to and from band practice... to traveling the world to play our songs. even to flying across the country to support each other in our own respective adventures. we’ve known each other through every phase of life thus far... still so much more to go! 6 months from now all 3 of us will be in our 30’s. not sure how that happened. we should also say thanks to you, while we’re here, for carrying the torch for the band and believing in all the ways we’ve found to create. we love us and we love you too."
The emotional tone of the post immediately sparked disbandment rumors and left fans worried about the band's true status. However, they assured everyone that a breakup is not in their future. Via their Instagram story update, Paramore clarified: "New emosh holiday post before we sign off! No, it’s not a breakup announcement, weirdos." We can all calm down now.
