The musical biopic genre proved to be a success in Hollywood following Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody's massive triumphs. Now, another iconic musical group's rise to fame will be immortalized on the big screen.
A Bee Gees biopic has already been greenlit by the trio's surviving member Barry Gibb who's said to have signed off on the band's story and music rights. Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King, Paramount Pictures, and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Partners are mounting the film project. Other details about the flick are still being kept under wraps.
The iconic trio of the Gibb brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice, known for hits like "Stayin' Alive", "I Started A Joke" and "How Deep Is Your Love", is one of the best-selling musical acts of all time with nine number one singles, diamond record awards, and a Grammy award for Album of the Year under their belt.
