There's no denying Moira dela Torre's remarkable impact in the OPM scene!
Fresh from reaping various awards at Himig Handog 2019 along with Daniel Padilla, the country's most streamed artist faced an intriguing question. She was asked about her reaction to aspiring singers who try to sound like her or emulate her singing style.
Moira humbly responded that she does not want to take full credit for the trend since she also knows how it feels to be compared to other artists when she was just starting out.
"To be honest po, hindi ko po masyado ina-acknowledge 'yung sarili ko na they sound like me. Because I know how it feels to be compared to other people. So I don't really like the feeling of having you know, 'tunog Moira ka'," the "Tagpuan" hitmaker said.
"So for me, I just try to see it as ahm... it's very flattering. Because growing up, ang dami ko ring naging katunog na mga inidolo ko and eventually I found my own voice," added Moira during the bloggers conference which you can watch below.
