On September 25, Diplo hacked into the Jonas Brothers' Instagram account and spammed fans with hilarious content. The group's followers started noticing that something fishy was going on when the account unfollowed everyone except the DJ-producer and changed the profile picture to a photo of the latter in a cowboy hat.
Then, Diplo made it clear he had control over the page when he uploaded several spoofs involving the JoBros and him including a comedy skit of how "Nick [broke] up the band."
A fan account with the username @TheJonasScoop shared the whole ruckus. At one point, it even seemed like Nick, Joe, and Kevin had no hand in the Instagram takeover and sounded annoyed with what happened. Diplo, meanwhile, just continued to mock the brothers and take pleasure from their misery.
After a while, he gave in and admitted that it was Joe who gave him the password... And proceeded to post more on the group's Instagram stories.
We don't know if the brothers already got their account back since it has been quiet for the past few hours. However, E! News later reported that the hacking incident has something to do with a new music collaboration beween the DJ and the pop band on the former's upcoming country album.
