The country's one and only Megastar Sharon Cuneta has revealed her desire of going on semi-retirement. The singer-actress who marks her 41st year in the biz this year laid out her plans of slowing it down a bit in the future to spend more time with her family.
In an emotional and heartfelt Instagram post about daughter Kakie Pangilinan who's set to pursue a college degree in New York, Mega revealed that she's been thinking about it for quite some time now. She wrote: "Since last year l have seriously been thinking of semi-retiring. I am so very tired. It has been 41 years of work, work, work for me, and at some point, kailangan na rin sabihin sa sarili na “tama na.” When will it ever be enough?"
"Sometimes you just have to put your foot down and say it’s okay, and it’ll all be okay. Maybe I’ll do a concert here and there every once in a while, or a movie that I feel will really be worth the few months it’ll take me away from my home and family," she continued.
She ended the post by assuring her avid Sharonians that we'll get only the best from her before she finally closes the curtains on her stellar career. "I love you all so much, and I will try my very best to give you the best of me before I say goodbye. God bless us all."
Sharon is teaming up with fellow MYX Magna awardee Regine Velasquez-Alcasid for a concert called ICONIC this October at the Araneta Coliseum.
