Several months have come and gone without new music from Dua Lipa, but that's about to change very soon. In between endorsement shoots, trips with friends, and romantic dates with rumored beau Anwar Hadid, the British pop star has been putting in work for her upcoming sophomore album.
The Grammy-winning artist confirmed to British Vogue, "I'm currently in LA finishing off songs." She then opened up on the greater pressure of putting out a second record, but admitted that writing songs has become way easier. "I feel like I really know myself a lot better. I know what I want to write about, I know how to express my feelings. I know how to talk about things and to allow myself to be vulnerable."
As for what kind of songs the new album will carry, Dua said it kind of feels like a "dancercise class" yet a little bit more "conceptual" and "mature" than her first album.
She didn't throw out an exact release date, but claimed that "I’m so excited to get going again. I’m ready! We’re on the countdown now."
