Kean Cipriano finally unveiled the music video for his solo single "Eye Contact".
The Callalily frontman launched the music video in an intimate set-up last Saturday at TAuMBAYAN in QC.
"Eye Contact" features a totally different sound – something we're not used to hearing from the singer – but the '80s new wave elements of the track is a welcome change. Kean explained, "Well, it's a conscious effort to make it sound different from what I've been doing with Callalily. Kasi Callalily nga has you know created this Callalily sound. Itong solo project ko, ito basically nagri-reflect dito yung pop culture ko. I admit, I've been listening to a lot of Police and Sting so yun siya."
He also shared that the tracks from his upcoming solo album will sound different from one another. "Iba-ibang songs dun sa album, iba-ibang tunog din, iba-iba rin ng influences. This whole solo project is the underground side of me."
Starring Jon Lucas and Liezel Lopez, you need to watch until the end for the video's "controversial" twist. Check out "Eye Contact" here:
