Whoever said OPM is dead is clearly lying to you. Global record label Sony Music formally introduced its new roster of exciting artists who prove that Filipino talent can truly hang with other artists in the international stage.
The official launch of the roster happened at 12 Monkeys in El Pueblo last July 24. Fans and people from the press were treated to a fun afternoon of music as the newly-signed Sony artists gave everyone a taste of their art.
The event was kicked off by promising young rapper Alex Bruce who blew our minds with her insane rapping skills and fluidity. And get this, she's only 12 years old!
The Vowels They Orbit, who recently launched their latest single "Selos", was so thrilled to be part of the elite group of musicians.
Indie soul band Nathan & Mercury promises to release the much awaited studio version of their song "Rumours" which was featured on MYX Bandarito.
Music prodigy Syd Hartha, daughter of rock icon Marcus Adoro, brought her unique style and songs that talk about social issues and other stuff some artists are not too brave to speak about.
And lastly, breakout folk pop band Ben&Ben rocked the 12 Monkeys stage with two tracks from their debut record Limasawa Street – "Pagtingin" and "Araw-Araw". They also excitingly announced that they're indeed playing themselves in the upcoming romance flick LSS with Khalil Ramos and Gabbi Garcia.
