If you still aren't convinced that another Space Jam film is actually happening, this news will finally put your doubts to rest.
It's time to slam, boys and girls! Basketball superstar aka "The King" himself Lebron James just confirmed that the ball's already rolling for the Looney Tunes flick. "Man this really just hit me! I’m really shooting Space Jam 2!! This is so surreal and doesn’t even make sense to me," a part of his tweet wrote.
Aside from lovable cartoon characters Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety Bird and Sylvester the Cat, we can also expect other NBA players to appear in the flick. Portland Trailblazers guard Damian Lillard, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson and Houston Rockets guard Chris Paul have all been rumored to join the cast.
While it's yet to be confirmed if the new film will be a direct sequel to the 1996 classic, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler - who serves the film's producer - revealed that several script rewrites have been made. Space Jam 2 is slated for a July 2021 release.
