Three years after releasing his self-titled album, Elmo Magalona re-emerges in the music scene with an international collaboration with Hawaiian singer MiMi for a new single titled "keke luv".
Per Push, Elmo flew to Hawaii earlier this month to record and shoot the music video for the song. "It was fun," he says of his experience working with the pop-rap artist who's part-Filipino. "It was my first time in Hawaii and I was able to do that. I was with my mom. She was also there to support the whole recording."
Elmo is the latest OPM artist to work with MiMi after Shanti Dope who was featured in her 2018 single "Crazy" alongside Krayzie Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony. "I’m glad that she’s able to get in touch with her other side din, her ethnicity. So hopefully, a lot of Filipinos will support her also."
For now, there's no exact date for the release of "keke luv", but Elmo did mention during the interview that they did "a couple of songs" together. Nice!
