Their impact! KPop idols BTS and pop superstar Taylor Swift are among the music acts who landed in TIME magazine's list of 100 most influential people of 2019.
Halsey - who's featured on BTS' latest MYX chart-topper "Boy With Luv" - said in the accompanying writeup: "Behind those three letters are seven astounding young men who believe that music is stronger than the barriers of language. It’s a universal dialect."
Taylor, who was previously included in the magazine's Person of the Year 2017 issue, also landed on the cover of the TIME 100 issue. Shawn Mendes wrote about his fellow pop star: "The magic of Taylor Swift doesn’t come from the lights, dancers or fireworks (although all of that is incredible) but from the electrifying connection that she has with the people who are there to see her."
In response to Shawn's writeup, Taylor posted on Instagram: "Thank you for your unbelievably kind words. I had no idea you were writing this and just found out when I saw this!"
Other entertainers in the TIME 100 list include Ariana Grande, Khalid, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Emilia Clarke, Brie Larson, Rami Malek, and Lady Gaga.
