Pinoy idol group MNL48 wowed fans in their first major concert here in the country. After conquering Thailand last January, the sister group of Japan’s AKB48 delivered a night of awesome performances in “Living The Dream: The Concert” directed by GB Sampedro.
Since their official debut last year, the girls have been working very hard to make their MNLoves proud! “Ngayon, parang sobrang sarap po sa feeling na Filipino audience po ‘yung pagpe-performan namin and ayun sana maulit po ulit ito. And I know it will be memorable,” Center Girl Sheki told MYXph.com before the show kicked off. MNL48 also thanked their fans for their music videos' amazing run on the MYX charts.
The whole MNL48 roster - Team MII, NIV, and L along with the Kenkyuusei and Gospel unit - gave thrilling sing-and-dance numbers complemented by epic costumes, lighting, and stage design. Performing "365 Araw ng Eroplanong Papel" live for the first time, the girls launched lots of paper planes for their loyal fans.
We also got to know the girls more through their onstage spiels and entertaining short videos which included a congratulatory message from AKB48 General Captain Mion Mukaichi. But that's not all, the night also marked the first live appearance of the 2nd Generation candidates of MNL48!
MNL48 closed the night with "Talulot Ng Sakura” but minutes after they left the stage, the 57 talented girls returned for a heart-stopping encore performance of “Pag-Ibig Fortune Cookie”.
Congratulations on your very successful major concert, MNL48! You are truly living the dream! If you haven’t seen this yet, watch their brand new music video "365 Araw ng Eroplanong Papel” below!
