Anyone who's watched the first teaser trailer to Alone/Together starring Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil must have had their hearts broken a million times over. From scenes that made us long for our college days to the constant what ifs, the upcoming romantic drama promises yet another of director Antoinette Jadaone's brand of "masakit" romance.

And so, it's only fitting that such film offers a soundtrack that brings forth a lot of anguish.

First on the list is JM de Guzman's rendition of Rivermaya's "214." We've said it before, and we'll say it again: the actor's more somber version of the OPM hit yields an additional layer of pain for our already marupok hearts. Speaking to MYX, Jadaone revealed that she specifically chose JM to sing the movie's official theme song because of his affiliation to UP and "'pag kumakanta siya, alam mong heartfelt."

In addition, Eraserheads' song "Spoliarium" will be featured on the film. As a matter of fact, the film's working title was named after the 1884 painting by Juan Luna, but was later changed due to the social responsibility that comes with naming a film after a revolutionary work of art. It will, however, play an imprortant part in the lead characters'—Cristine and Raf—love story. Thus, the song.

And last but not least, a new song titled "Kapit" from Up Dharma Down's Armi Millare. Jadaone has no idea when the singer-songwriter plans to release the full track, but revealed, "Nung unang beses naming napakinggan, kinilabutan talaga ako. Kasi ang ganda niya. Na-imagine ko na agad kung saan siya ilalapat."

Alone/Together arrives in theaters February 13. Until then, listen to the film's soundtrack on repeat.
