Karylle is indeed enjoying her stint right now as an independent artist. She’s really savoring the freedom of a do-it-yourself approach to recording and publishing her music. It's evident as she celebrated the release of her latest music video "iloveya” directed by Quark Henares.
According to K, the music video launch was her way of giving back to her most loyal fans. “It’s a free show, a gift to everyone who’s been supporting me for years. So nagulat ako na ang daming gustong magpunta, ang daming gustong makisaya, ang daming gustong makikanta.”
Aside from hosting the gig, she sold "iloveya" shirts at the venue. "I'm an indie girl right now so help me make a living by buying my merch," she joked.
Backed by her band called the Passport Holders, she treated her fans with a cool set including fun numbers with her sister Zia Quizon and husband Yael Yuzon. The couple even did an impromptu performance of “A Whole New World” from Aladdin!
Before K’s set, Sponge Cola and Brisom also performed at the music video launch.
